Community Health & Wellness Fair Brings Free Services and Local Partners Together at New River Community and Technical College
[Beaver, W.Va.] - The public is invited to attend a free Community Health & Wellness Fair at the Beaver campus of New River Community and Technical College. The event is focused on promoting health, wellness, and access to essential community resources. The event will bring together healthcare professionals, educators, and local community organizations to provide services, information, and support for individuals and families. The event will be held on Saturday, March 7th from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
The event will feature free wellness screenings in partnership with the Beckley ARH Hospital (BARH) Mobile Screening Unit, offering:
Skin cancer screenings
BMI measurements
A1C testing
Blood pressure checks
Stroke risk assessments
Attendees can also access wellness education from Allied Health and Pre-Professional Programs with eye screenings, adult and child nutrition education, and vaping prevention.
Guests are encouraged to relax and recharge with complimentary chair massages and enjoy a free hot meal provided for all attendees.
In addition to medical and wellness resources, the fair will host several community partners offering support services throughout Southern West Virginia including Seed Sower, Spokes, and AWAY.
The Community Health & Wellness Fair is open to the public and free for all attendees.
