The Huse Memorial Park Commission invites you to our 8th Annual Community Memorial Day Candlelight Vigil, Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 8 pm at the Huse Memorial Park & Mausoleum. The evening will begin as sweet music fills the air by Fayetteville native vocalist and musician, Carolyn Beth Keith. The Boys Scouts of America, led by Michael LeChalk, will stand at attention awaiting the Presentation of Colors.
This year’s vigil will be based on the topic “A Time to Unite” given by speaker, Col. (R) Chris Selvey. After this Memorial Day devotion, Pastor Jim Truman will begin the Candlelight Presentation assisted by multiple area pastors.
Preparation began the end of February with the planting of poppy seeds in the grassed area above the Mausoleum. We are in hopes the poppies will be in bloom during this momentous event reminding us, the sacrifices made by so many service men and women for our country.
Bring a chair and a friend and join us for “A Time to Unite” within our community!
