All programs are FREE and located at the Camp Brookside Environmental Education Center, unless otherwise indicated.
Full Moon Hike Tuesday, July 19 from 8-9 pm, 1 mile hike on Brookside Trail. We will have headlamps and star guides for you to use, so just show up!
Canning Class Friday, July 22 from 6-7 pm, meets in Mess Hall. This class will cover the basics of canning techniques, including pressure cookers vs. hot water baths, high acid foods vs. low acid foods, and canning processes. *RSVP required.
Running Clinic Thursday, July 28 from 5-7 pm, meets on Mess Hall porch. Learn running techniques and go for a brief group jog with a certified running coach. This class is geared towards beginner runners.
Intro to Fly Fishing Saturday, July 30 from 9-11 am, meets in Mess Hall. Learn the basics of fly tying and casting. All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary. *RSVP required.
Instameet Friday, August 5 from 7-8 pm, meets in Mess Hall. Take photos of Brooks Falls and around this historic site to share with #getactiveinthepark, #activeSWV, and #NewRiverNPS.
