On Saturday evening, March 16th, Hawks Nest State Park will present an evening of American Irish songs and stories, performed by West Virginia’s “Bard of Education”, actor and musician, Mick Souter. This will include numerous sing-a-longs and performances on a wide array of instruments, including banjo, fiddle, auto harp, guitar, dulcimer and mandolin. The show will be interspersed with humorous and historically based tales that set-up the songs while adding an intriguing touch of Irish Color to the evening.
Since this is presented as a dinner theater, the food service at Hawks Nest will prepare a sumptuous feast of Irish culinary favorites to compliment the evening, delight the senses and charm the palate of even the most discriminating Irishman.
Mick Souter is West Virginia’s leading educational performing artist who has made over 3,000 appearances at festivals, theaters, state parks and schools throughout West Virginia and several other states. His dynamic performances and instrumental versatility have thoroughly entertained audiences of all ages over the past 25 years.
