SUMMARY:West Virginia Community Building Workshops
DESCRIPTION:The WV Community Development Hub\, in partnership with the WV Healthy Kids Healthy Families Coalition and the WV Center on Budget and Policy\, is hosting Northern and Southern Regional Policy Workshops. \n\n \n\nThe workshops offer policy and advocacy training PLUS the opportunity to dig deeply into one specific policy area of your choice during afternoon workshops.  Each workshop will culminate with a presentation from Sen. John Unger about how communities and politicians can work together to make change in the Legislature.\n\n \n\nThis conference is perfect for ministers\, working families\, teachers\, students\, parents\, social workers\, and others who are interested in learning more about how to make policy change in their communities\, and statewide!\n\n\n\nAttendees are encouraged to register for the workshop closest to their community\, though you are welcome to attend either or both based on your area of interest.\n\n \n\nBeckley Policy Workshop Topics:\n\nComprehensive Community Development\, Raising the Minimum Wage\, Juvenile Justice Reform\, Substance Abuse\, Sexual Health Education\, and Affordable Housing
