DESCRIPTION:oin Community Captains Barbie and Jacki to hike the Sandstone Falls boardwalk and Island Loop Trail with a focus on migratory birds in the area. Meet at the parking area of Sandstone Falls boardwalk.\n\n\n\nMeet others who enjoy walking outdoors   Beginners welcome! How to Prepare:   Wear comfortable shoes\, sunscreen\, bring water   Be weather aware\, check email for cancellation.\n\n\n\nAll hikes are made possible through Get Active In The Park\, a partnership between Active SWV and the National Park Service. Get Active in the Park activities are perfect for grand-families\, groups with multiple interests\, and individuals. All are welcome! Youth are encouraged to attend but must be accompanied by a guardian and the adult must stay on site during the activity. Get Active in the Park is an innovative partnership between the National Park Service and Active Southern West Virginia. Trained Community Captains deliver free\, beginner-level instructional programs to the New River Gorge region. Get Active in the Park empowers our community to see outdoor spaces as a place for health and wellness to take place.\n\n\n\nRegistration to any Active SWV free Community Captain programs indicates personal acceptance of the Active SWV liability waiver\, included in event documents for review.
