WV DESCRIPTION:The Active Southern West Virginia staff invite you come paddle the New River on August 18th as a fun\, active way to raise money for the many free programs offered by Active SWV. This trip is made possible by partnership with ACE Adventure Resort.\n\n\n\nAbout the trip:\n\nThe river section will be from Cunard to Fayette Station on the Lower New River section. This section has 22 rapids ranging in difficult and length. The 1\,000 ft gorge has magnificent views and the trip will go rain or shine. \n\n\n\nThis has a minimum age of 12 years old and requires participant participation. Rafters will be expected to help carry the raft down steps and across uneven terrain\, paddle through whitewater rapids\, be prepared to swim back to the raft if you happen to fall out. All safety orientation will be provided prior to the river trip and throughout the trip. Every raft will have a river guide with up to 8 participants and all rafts will travel together. \n\n\n\nThe check in time will be 9am and we should be finished by 4pm.
