SUMMARY:Plateau Medical Center Expansion Project Ground Breaking Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Our much anticipated Expansion Project is moving forward. We will officially commence the project with a celebration Monday\, April 23rd at 11am on the campus of Plateau Medical Center. Festivities will include remarks from hospital and community leaders as well as a ceremonial ground-breaking. TV and radio stations will be present for live coverage and we will have several opportunities for attendees to win prizes. Feel free to invite your friends\, family\, and members of the community to join us.\n\n \n\nMany of you may have already noticed the modular construction unit delivered last week. It is positioned in the upper parking lot on the backside of our facility and will serve as the office for the construction crew throughout the project. Yesterday\, we held the official pre-construction kick-off meeting with project contractors and architects. Members of our management team were provided details regarding the scope of the expansion project and plans for phasing. Details and timelines regarding each phase of the expansion project will be communicated on a routine basis as we begin preparations for each phase. Also\, work is beginning immediately for a new generator being delivered and installed as part of this project. The new generator will be located between the Boiler Facility and the Plant Operations Facility. We anticipate the generator installation to be complete by mid-May.\n\n \n\nThe full expansion project is slated to be complete in 2019 and includes:\n\n	Two new operating rooms and renovation of our two existing operating rooms\n	Two new endoscopy suites and elimination of our mobile endoscopy unit\n	New 8 bay PACU and a new 10 bay prep/recovery suite\n	Expansion of ED to 10 bays with a new corridor that connects with the Imaging Department\n	Updated entrance to the ED with expanded waiting room and new restroom\n	Updates to enhance the patient experience in care areas including all patient rooms\n	Newly relocated central sterile unit and lab\n	New large outpatient waiting area and consult room\n	New physician lounge\, staff lounge\, and locker rooms\n	New parking locations and several landscape improvements\n\n \n\nWe hope to see you at the kick-off celebration Monday April 23rd at 11am.
